Essential oils have been used for medicinal and healing purposes for thousands of years. Clinical studies are underway in many countries to test the healing properties of various essential oils.  In the United States, many practices are realizing the benefits of essential oils not only for their healing attributes but also for their stress reducing and mood enhancing attributes.

Pine

Pine oil is soothing to rheumatic pain and great for stressed muscles and joint It has been used traditionally for any kind of respiratory infections including pneumonia and the common cold.

Rosemary

Known to stimulate the circulatory and nervous systems, ease tension headaches and sore muscles. 

Sage

It is known to help with weakness of the nervous system, general fatigue, irritability, and depression, weakness of digestion, all the women's complaints, liver trouble and congestion, asthmatic conditions and rheumatic fevers, aches and pains. Is attributed to its antiseptic properties.  It has been used for centuries for respiratory and digestive troubles. It was used for pest control 3,500 years ago and continues to be known as a natural method today.  It is also known to help with fatigue and sore muscles.

Clove oil uses date back to ancient China and India. The Chinese used clove for treatment of hernia, diarrhea and bronchitis. Traditionally clove was used for intestinal parasites, skin infections, digestive upsets and toothaches. Today, it is known for its anti-infectious and anti-inflammatory properties. 

Eucalyptus

This oil uses have long been known to include anything regarding the respiratory system, including asthma attacks, bronchitis infections, colds, and more. Also known to increase circulation and reduce inflammation thus easing soreness and aching associated with arthritis, rheumatism and over-exertion.  Finally it is known for soothing ones emotional disorders and everyday stressors. 

Fennel

Known to ease muscular and rheumatic pain.

Lavender

Known to give relief from stress related headaches, depression, nervousness, exhaustion, and symptoms of rheumatism. Lavender also promotes natural sleep and reduces swelling. 

Peppermint

About Alpenöl Essential Oils

The essential oils used to make Alpenöl are rigorously checked for consistency and purity using gas chromatography and spectroscopy (GC/MS).  They are produced by distillation at pre-determined times in the country of origin and may be re-distilled in some cases in USA.  Countries of origin include USA, Canada, China, Indonesia, Spain, Australia, Austria, North Africa, Egypt, Russia, Italy & France.

All the oil used are on a list of substances which are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the USA Food & Drug administrations and accepted industry list.

We do not seek organic certification since this would not be productive considering the types of material used and their applications.
