Pine oil is soothing to rheumatic pain and great for stressed muscles and joints. It has been used traditionally for all kinds of respiratory infections including pneumonia and the common cold.

Rosemary

Salvia rosmarinus

Known to stimulate the circulatory and nervous systems, ease tension headaches and sore muscles. 

Sage

Salvia officinalis

Known to help with weakness of the nervous system, general fatigue, irritability, depression, digestive complaints, liver trouble, congestion, asthmatic conditions, rheumatic fevers, aches and pains. It is ideal for people who have to stand for several hours each day, and who suffer from heavy, swollen and congested legs thus reducing swelling and increasing circulation. 

Thyme

Thymus vulgaris L.

Is attributed to its antiseptic properties.  It has been used for centuries for respiratory and digestive troubles. It was used for pest control 3,500 years ago and continues to be known as a natural method today.  It is also known to help with fatigue, sore muscles and respiratory conditions.

Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus globulus

This oils’ uses have long been known to include anything regarding the respiratory system, including asthma attacks, bronchitis infections, colds, and more. Also known to increase circulation and reduce inflammation, thus easing soreness and aching associated with arthritis, rheumatism and over-exertion. It is also well known for soothing ones emotional states from everyday stressors. 

Clove

Spicy, warming Clove adds a deep soothing aroma to the blend, as well as its circulatory benefits when used topically. Clove oil use dates back to ancient China and India where it was used for the treatment of hernias, diarrhea, bronchitis, and many other ailments. Traditionally, clove was used for intestinal parasites, skin infections, digestive upsets and toothaches. Today, it is known for its anti-infectious and anti-inflammatory properties which make it such an integral part of Alpenol’s formulation.

Citrus oils have been been shown to be very uplifting and contribute a mild, clean aroma the the formula. These potent oils also help stimulate the circulatory system, and are known to assist with indigestion and fluid retention. They’re both calming and uplifting in nature. This pure oil is extracted from the rinds of many edible citrus fruits, namely lemons, oranges and limes. In recent studies, orange oil has actually shown anti-tumoral and anti-coagulant properties!

Lavender

Lavendula angustifolia

Known to give relief from stress related headaches, depression, nervousness, exhaustion, and symptoms of rheumatism. Lavender also promotes natural sleep and reduces swelling. 

Peppermint

Mentha arvensis

Commonly known to relive headaches, indigestion, tension, and inflammation. This wonderful oil also cools and relieves tired sore muscles and feet. The menthol in peppermint provides effective relief from many respiratory problems including nasal congestion, sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis and the common cold and cough.
